Miami Spice Is Bigger and Better Than Ever

When you’re trying to perfect your summer beach body and sticking to a strict diet, there is the risk of temptation. With all of the different, delicious foods available, it can be difficult to stay on track. Now, Miami Spice is returning to make it even harder to avoid enjoying a great bite in the Magic City.

For those that have never experienced Miami Spice, the annual event involves promotion where numerous restaurants offer a three-course, fixed-price brunch and lunch menu for $23 a person as well as dinner for $39. Each restaurant decides whether it will offer both menus or just one, and some of them do not offer the Miami Spice promotion on the weekends.

This year, a bunch of new restaurants are joining Miami Spice. The new Coral Gables eatery Ad Lib is one notable addition and so is South Miami’s Fiola. Right here in Miami Beach, the Jim and Neese located at the Generator hotel will also be participating in the promotion which kicks off on August 1st through September 30th.

While the full list of participating restaurants will be revealed, you can start figuring out where you’d like to eat by visiting the Miami Herald: https://www.miamiherald.com/miami-com/restaurants/article231903298.html.

A New Miami Beach Hotel Is Soon to Open

Miami Beach will soon be receiving another taste of South America when the Lennox Hotel Miami Beach makes its stylish debut this summer on Collins Avenue. A project by the similarly named Argentinian hotel group Lennox Hotels, the building, will occupy the home of the Peter Miller Hotel, a building found in the Historic District.

In keeping with Miami Beach’s Art Deco flair, the Lennox Hotel will boast a classic architecture yet still modern architecture. Inside of the building there will be over 100 guest rooms, thirteen of which will boast a feature commonly found in upscale luxury condos: wraparound balconies. Each of these rooms features interior design courtesy of designer, architect, and Argentinian Juan Ciavarell, who is also responsible for curating the artwork.

A major feature of the Lennox Hotel will be its swimming pool located inside the courtyard designed in a Mediterranean style. Future guests will be able to sunbathe and there will also be a cocktail bar located by the poolside for some fun and great drinks.

The Lennox Hotel Miami Beach is expected to open next month and is only one of the many projects happening in the barrier island and beyond. Are you excited to spend a few nights at this upcoming hotel?

Enjoy Your Meal Outdoors This Summer

With the impending arrival of summer and the start of Memorial Day weekend, you may be thinking about places to enjoy an al fresco meal and a cool drink. The following places offer great patio dining experiences.

We’ll begin things here in Miami Beach with Jaya at The Setai on Collins Avenue. Guests can dine on lots of different Asian themed dishes from countries like China, Thailand, Japan, Korea, and more. The poolside patio features a retractable roof and the décor is impeccably astounding.

Also on Collins Avenue is Bird & Bone which is a fantastic option if you’re a fan of southern comfort food in an outdoor setting. Try some of the fried chicken tacos or country fried steak for brunch while you enjoy the breezy ambiance.

Over at Shuckers Waterfront Bar & Grill in North Bay Village, the umbrellas keep the patio area cool and guests covered as they enjoy food like conch fritters and coconut shrimp while enjoying vistas of Biscayne Bay. Besides the great food, the restaurant is open until 2 am on weekends.

To the west of North Bay Village in Miami’s Little River is Ironside Pizza & Coffee Co. Known for its romantic ambiance, menu items include plenty of salads, pasta, and of course pizza. One of the coolest things about this place is its bring your own booze policy.

Useful Information Regarding Memorial Day Weekend in Miami Beach

The start of Memorial Day weekend is imminent, which means there will be potentially thousands of people visiting Miami Beach to enjoy all of the events taking place, dining on all of the different food, and also sunbathing on the world famous sunny sands.

Miami Beach’s Memorial Day weekend has been practically synonymous with the popular Urban Beach Week, which is known for its lively parties and concerts centered around hip-hop. However, this year Miami Beach is also playing host to several other events such as the third annual Air and Sea Show as well as its inaugural arts and culture festival titled Re-Frame, which will showcase plenty of South Florida artists.

If you’re among the many planning on visiting Miami Beach, you should be aware of a couple of things. For starters, vehicular traffic will not be permitted on Ocean Drive starting Friday morning through Tuesday morning. There will also be barricades present to cordon off the nightclubs and the many different cafes. Those driving in Miami Beach should know a traffic loop will be in place between Fifth and 16th streets beginning at 7 pm on Saturday through Sunday night.

If you’d rather reduce the chances of having to waste several minutes looking for parking, it is strongly advised that you use the free app ParkMe which shows open spots as well as parking rates. Don’t forget the complimentary trolley is available for you to use.

Lodging with Fido can be a great time, especially if it’s at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach. Pamper your pooch at this popular Miami Beach hotspot which includes spacious pet-friendly rooms plus amenities just for them. You’ll also receive a “return to” dog tag at no additional cost.

There will come a time when you want to have some food. You can, for instance, visit Shake Shack which has a menu dedicated solely to pets. Have Fido dine on a poochini which consists of peanut butter or have them chow down on a biscuit.

When you’re both ready to hit the town, South Pointe Beach will let you experience the South Beach area and it also includes pet-friendly playgrounds plus trails where you and your pooch can enjoy a view of the waterfront. Between 6 to 9 pm on weekdays, there is also a leash-free area where you can let your pet roam freely.

Miami Beach Is Home to the Best Brunch

It’s safe to say that for many South Floridians, brunch is one of the most important occasions of the week. When Mother’s Day is approaching, brunch spots become even more popular and considering the big day is just around the corner, you may be thinking about where to go and spend the important day.

The popular service OpenTable recently published the 100 Best Brunch Restaurants in the country and South Florida managed to make the list! In fact, two of the spots mentioned in the list are located right here in Miami Beach. The Palace has become known for its drag shows. After closing back in 2017, the brunch spot was reborn on Ocean Drive. Also making the list is Yardbird Southern Table & Bar, located on Lenox Avenue, not too far from The Palace.

OpenTable has become one of the most popular services for making reservations at many of the hottest restaurants around the world. In fact, the app has booked reservations for millions of people each month and it works with over 45,000 restaurants throughout the world.

Once you visit Miami Beach, you can also check out Louie Bossi’s to the north in Fort Lauderdale which also made OpenTable’s prestigious list.
