Uber Expands Its Services

If you’re a fan of delivery or takeout, chances are you’re quite familiar with the Uber Eats app and service. The service makes it easy to have food delivered from a variety of local restaurants and has become especially useful during the pandemic as businesses are forced to close to indoor dining.

Uber is now looking to build upon its food delivery foundation and will soon debut the evolution of its delivery service: Uber Grocery. As the company moves toward introducing the service in the United States, Miami is one of the first two cities that will see the service rollout. The news comes after Uber paid billions of dollars to acquire the food delivery service Postmates.

Similarly to Uber Eats, Uber Grocery will allow customers to track the movements of their order as well as request no contact delivery if they choose. Customers that currently pay for Eats Pass or Uber Pass can also look forward to receiving free delivery provided their order is more than $30. Uber has yet to release further details on delivery fees or what products may be available.
