Groundup Music Festival

This May, the North Beach Bandshell will host the 5th annual GroundUp Music Festival. The event will feature concerts by popular jazz musicians and groups, artist lectures and workshops, food from top local chefs, and exquisite Miami Beach vistas, and will be hosted by three-time Grammy Award winner Snarky Puppy, who will perform all three nights. It’s only a matter of time until the Easter holiday arrives. To mark its 9th annual Easter Day celebration, the T5 Foundation is inviting the community to join in on the fun with their Easter Day Extravaganza. 

The event, co-hosted by the City of Miami Gardens and funded in part by the Children’s Trust and numerous other supporting organizations, will take place in Miami Carol City Park on April 17, 2022, from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. There thousands of colorfully decorated eggs will be dropped from a helicopter as part of the annual egg hunt and egg drop. In addition to eggs filled with treats and secret prizes, the T5 Foundation will also provide STEM activities for children, along with live music, food trucks, free rides, games, raffles and much more. Free haircuts will be provided with the support of community sponsors on a first come, first serve basis.

The T5 Foundation was founded in Miami, Florida to encourage community outreach. Their mission is to reduce poverty, hunger and homelessness. Since 2010, the organization has held annual food, clothes and toy drives for needy families. Every year, the Foundation strives to expand and reach out to more residents of Miami-Dade County and the surrounding towns.
